Is Classified Advertising Growing?
Many internet sellers have heard of Craigslist. Some have even heard of sites like Kijiji and Wal-Mart Classifieds. I must admit that I had not been aware of Oodle.com until just a few months ago.
As an ecommerce marketer, I have had limited experience with online classifieds. I have in the past used Craigslist.org with minimal response. But the more I researched this channel of internet marketing the more impressed I was. With the multitude of marketing venues such as Amazon, eBay, Bonanzle, Etsy the one thing they share is some sort of cost for the sellers.
Oodle is FREE and the numbers of partner networks that posted items appear on is staggering. So to are the numbers of visitors to the the sites!
I had the opportunity to speak with Oodle CEO Craig Donato yesterday and the interview will air Saturday January 10th, 2009 during the ebay & Beyond: Basics to Business radio program heard live 10 AM to Noon ET.
