eBay’s CEO Approval Rating The Same As President Bush’s

John Donahoe’s Internal Approval Rating Dismal

According to a post on the Epicenter Wired Blog Network eBay’s CEO John Donahoe is rated the 11th worst CEO by his employees. The blog references statistics from Glassdoor.com where employees rate employers.

Based on the statistics from the Glassdoor.com site Donahoe’s approval rating is at 28% and President Bush’s approval rating is at 27%. Now this is not a political statement and it is only referenced to show that approximately 70%+ of the country is not happy with the way President Bush is running the country and the same percentage of eBay employees do not approve of the way John Donahoe is running eBay.

With internal approval ratings at this level one it is no big surprise that upper management staffers are leaving in droves as are sellers. Discontent from within is a sure sign that those doing the job every day understand the serious trouble eBay is in with users of the site. Yes, some may say these numbers are sour grapes from disgruntled employees but based on the reports it sure seems legitimate to me.
